West Kilbride is Scotland's first and only accredited Craft Town.

Known as "The Village" West Kilbride might be a small town, with a population of around 5000, but it offers a great range of independent retail and designer shops which complement its major cultural attractions, The Barony Centre and Craft Studios.

The Main Street itself has been re-energised by the creation of 9 craft studios, together with the opening of of The Barony Centre creating a community focal point and showcase for the Craft Town Scotland initiative.

West Kilbride is bounded on three sides by open countryside and on the fourth by the Clyde Coast and looks over to The Island of Arran, meaning that Ayrshire's beaches and golf courses are on your doorstep. Loads of places to go and things to see and do and you will find no shortage of excellent restaurants and coffee shops nearby.

Situated 40 Miles from Glasgow, it is none the less excellently served by road, rail and public transport with easy access to both Glasgow and Prestwick Airports.

The nearest bus stop is 200 metres from The Huff House with a half hourly service up and down the coast, and the train station is a 5 minute walk with an hourly service to Largs and to Glasgow.
